In My Mailbox- Week of Jan. 26!

Hey everyone!! Here's my In My Mailbox post for this week!

Stuff I talk about in the vlog:

1) Jewel: The Essential Live Songbook DVD
2) The Season by Sarah MacLean
3) Here Today, Gone to Maui by Carol Snow
4) Shadowed Summer by Saundra Mitchell
5) Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev
6) Peace, Love, and Baby Ducks by Lauren Myracle
7) Something, Maybe by Elizabeth Scott

Here's the link to Saundra Mitchell's contest: http://sweeps.shadowedsummer.com/

And here are the cat pics:

This is Maya (the female) in my dresser before I put the top drawer back in. I had to take out the top drawer to make it easier to carry and hold on to, and before I was able to put the drawer in, Maya jumped up into the dresser and was roaming around in it.

Here's Samson (aka the stray; he's the male) lounging in our living room last night while my roomie and her bf played Wii. He's so cute, except when he meows loudly and keeps me up at night. Not so cute then, but he's been getting better. And a final pic of him, but he got too close to the camera when I hit the button, lol.

  3. Soo jealous that you have Peace, Love, and Baby Ducks.

Oh, and you should probably know that my family thinks I have a problem due to the fact I was laughing my butt off the whole time I was listening to that!

  4. OMG, you are the cutest person ever. You made my day, hugging the book to you. XD

Can I just say that I'm thrilled to death that you pronounced my last name correctly? Hooray!

(Feiwel doesn't put the shiny art on any of their ARCs, for some reason.)

Now I will go medicate myself with chocolate and coffee until you have the chance to read it.

  5. YAY! Cat pics! Emmy likes when I take the drawers out too. She'll hang out in those holes for hours.

  6. Bookworm and Alea- hehe thanks! :)

Harmony- I'm glad you found me funny. :) Even if your family does think you have a problem.

Lisa- lol, glad you think I'm the cutest person ever (you are not alone in this opinion- my roomie and the majority of my friends hold it as well).

And is your last name really that hard to pronounce? It looks easy to me. Which actually reminded me that I wanted to pronounce Sarah Mlynowski's name in my vlog to prove that at least one person can say it right, lol. I'll need to do that next time. Or just do a whole vlog about it.

Feiwel is silly, not putting covers on ARCs.

And you'll be medicating yourself for a while since I prolly won't get to it until June. And that could add up to be a lot of chocolate and coffee...

Lenore- Glad you liked them! And see, if I'd posted it yesterday, you'd only see Maya. Now you get to see both!! :)

  7. Your cats are so cute! I wish I had cats but I don't. :(

Did you get a haircut or something? Your hair looks different.

  8. The "tch" seems to throw people off... I've had people squint at it and say "Man-teh-cher?" And worse.

*going into cryogenic stasis until August*

  9. Carol- Yay, glad you like my cats! :) And yes, I did get a haircut while I was home; my dad made me get one, lol.

Lisa- That's silly. Maybe I'm just too good at saying names cuz I usually get them right, no matter what they are. But yours is definitely an easy one- I can't believe people mess it up.

And why the cryogenic stasis? Doesn't that mean you'll be going away with no contact to the outside world? DON'T LEAVE ME!! I like talking to you. :)

  10. Your cats are so cute! Actually, your black and white one looks just like my cat.

Anyway, I got Something, Maybe in the mail this week, too. I just finished it last night and it was so awesome! Plus, I am so jealous of Eyes Like Stars, Peace Love & Baby Ducks, and The Season.

  11. Haha, I was thinking about Something, Maybe and Envy, and they came, so I'm thinking you might be on to something with the computer chip theory!

  12. I love your kitties. I had a cat named Samson when I was a kid. He was a long haired gray cat.

Also, I love how you said "fantastic" at like 2:23. It sounded like Jack from Will & Grace. I'm thinking we should call you Just James. ;)

  14. I love the vblog, can't help staring at your bookshelf : D

  15. Lauren- Thanks! :) And maybe I'll let you borrow them sometime.

TCR- Oh thank god I'm not alone in this!! lol I think you're the first one to step up. Maybe others will now follow your lead.

Amee- I always wonder just how gay I sound sometimes in these vlogs. Does it come through very heavily? lol

Sarah- They aren't the only ones. And when I get a review up (in March most likely), I'll send you a link!!

Thao- hehe, should I provide a list sometime of what books are up there?

Although that might not be good until my room is complete. Because I may move stuff around once I get another bookshelf.
