So I realized that so far this year, there's quite a few book events being held in the mid-east coast which almost never happens. But it seems 2012 is bringing a lot of authors that already live in this area, as well as publishers hearing our plea for more book events here (it always surprises me that our nation's capital is left out of a lot of national book tours)!
Anyway, I thought I'd compile a list of events and keep it updated. If you know of any MG/YA events and conferences in the PA/NJ/MD/DC/VA/NC area (I know, a lot of abbreviations), please let me know and I'll update it here! I am also contemplating making a comprehensive list of books events everywhere in the US but I would need a TON of help with that so for now, I'm keeping it to this 6-state radius.

Also glad to see some events I didn't know about before!
I'm just testing out your comments. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome list - thanks James!
ReplyDeleteEve Marie Mont is having her launch party on March 31 at Doyle's in PA!
Thanks! I added that event plus two others she's involved in, and she led me to another author who was having a few PA events too! :)
DeleteSweet! I'm definitely going to keep checking your post for updates. I might try to go see Rachel Hawkins in Bethesday on the 13th. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this post! The closest place to me is 1 hr 30 min, which I guess isn't bad. Only prob is the event starts at 5 and I get off work at 4:30... *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI usually just ask off early from work if there's somewhere I want to go. Not sure what kind of job you have but you could give that a try!
