ReplyDeletethis may seem like a dumb question, but I thought of something...is it legal to do these vids? I was thinking it would be fine for books that have online previews, but I was just wondering about copy right law...what do you think?
ReplyDeleteDayana- To my knowledge, it is legal. We are not putting the entire book up for free or anything like that, just posting a preview. It's the same thing that authors do on their own websites.
ReplyDeleteI've also been doing two excerpt vlogs monthly since January 2009 and no one has told me this is illegal. Authors love it, and publishers, I'm sure, love the buzz as well (I was concerned about reading from Real Live Boyfriends by E. Lockhart, but E assured me that Random House would love it).
